Trout is a medium-sized freshwater fish, inhabiting cold waters, mainly in Northern Portugal. Tender trout fillet from the pristine waters of Rio Coura in northern Portugal is elevated with a delightful blend of rich, caramelized onions, sharp vinegar reduction, and a unique medley of spices, resulting in a burst of incredible flavour straight from the can.
The ideal amount is placed by hand at the bottom of the can, before the fish is placed, so that when the can is turned over at the moment of consumption, the sauce bathes the fish in its entirety. After placing the sauce in the bottom of the can, the trout is canned and then drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.
